Before you travel
Best time to visit Bali
The dry season runs from April to October and offers sunny days, lower humidity and ideal beach weather. It’s the perfect time for surfing, exploring and outdoor dining.
Visiting during wet season
From November to March, Bali becomes greener and quieter. Expect occasional tropical showers, often followed by sunshine. A great time to enjoy a more relaxed side of the island.
Visa & entry requirements
Most visitors can enter Indonesia with a Visa on Arrival, which can be purchased upon arrival or arranged online before departure. Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months from your arrival date. Read more at the bottom of the page.
Getting around Bali
Explore by scooter
The best way to discover Bali is on two wheels. Hidden beaches, local cafés and scenic coastal roads are often just a short ride away. A scooter is included with every stay at Villa MiJo.
Grab & Gojek
Prefer not to drive? Grab and Gojek are Bali’s most popular ride-hailing apps and are perfect for short trips, food delivery and airport transfers.
Private driver
For longer day trips to places like Ubud, Tanah Lot or the northern waterfalls, hiring a private driver is often the easiest and most comfortable option.
Staying comfortable
Money & payments
Most restaurants, cafés and beach clubs accept card payments, but it’s always useful to carry a small amount of cash for local warungs, parking fees and markets.
Staying connected
Wi-Fi is available throughout the villa, but a local SIM card or eSIM makes navigating Bali even easier while you’re out exploring.
Health & safety
Bali is generally very safe for travellers. Stay hydrated, use sunscreen regularly and bring mosquito repellent for the evenings.and Friday.
